Well i'm getting there with Shimelles latest class, im really enjoying the "learning" element. Here is my front cover, i have to say i am really pleased with it, i will upload some more of my pages later on today :)

Using up old scraps

Today i decided to try and use up some odds and ends of patterned paper i had lying around, i only actually managed one page but hey its better than nothing and i have used paper i probably would have just thrown in the bin! so here it is, another page of alexander, im trying desperatley to catch up with his album as he was born last july and i only have 6 lo's in it so far! hoping the up and coming cyber crop might help me out with this! i am in the ships for the cyber crop and am pleased to see alot of old faces from uks are aswell, it will be good to chat to people again :)

Birthday Blog Bash

Firstly i would like to say a massive happy birthday to the gorgeous Rebekah.

Well here it is my turn on the birthday blog hop, hopefully you will have hopped here from Deanne's Blog. I do hope everyone has been enjoying the hop so far and you have all made some delicious creations :) Seen as it's coming to the end of the hop i thought i would give you something a little more simple to do! I have attatched a layout of my nephew Alexander which i created for this project. Graduation

Well as my graduation is looming, well maybe not looming but january next year, anyway it got me thinking i should maybe scrap my sisters graduation photo! It a big deal as i don't actually get to scrap very often at the moment due to pressures at uni! Will post again later today with details about a Birhtday {Blog} bash im taking part in :)

Update again

Sorry i always seem to forget to update this lol little time and too much to do may be the problem! Well a little update i suppose, i got my exam results, 1 merit and 2 high passes, i missed out on the other merits by 3 and 2% so was a little dissapointed but pleased also. I have finished my first placement for the year, i was in the breast unit in oncology, it was very emotional but very educational and i learned a hell of alot! My next placements are care of the elderly and then ITU, to say i am excited about ITU would be an understatement!

It was Jamies 3rd birthday on the 24th, i really cant beleive he is 3 already how time flies, he had a party with bouncy castle on the 25th and his new baby brother Alexander James arrived on the 26th! Weighing 8lbs 9oz he is just gorgeous, although Jamie isnt too keen and wanted to send him back!

I havent done much on the scrapping front, at the moment i am lucky if i manage a lo a month but it is better than nothing, i just dont seem to have the time with work and university although i relish the day i will have lots of time, and beleive me there will be a huge backlog of photos waiting! I am also excited to be getting a layout published in Scrapbook Trends magazine, i am hoping it will be in the next issue, which will be issue 5 october.

Anyway i dont think i really have all that much more to say at the moment, but promise to try and keep this updated a little more!

Stress Over Exam Results

Well that time is here for me again, exam result time. They where meant to be today but we have been sent an email saying they have been suspended till friday, another whole 4 days to wait, i dont think i can take the suspense :( I am not feeling overly confident at all to be honest and really wish it was just all over with! I have to say i wish someone would come up with a full proof cure for exam and results stress! Mind you i do think i am a naturally stressy person, anything i can find to stress me out to the max i will do it lol, roll on placement next monday :)

A Whole Month??

IS it really a whole month since i last update my blog, i cannot believe it, i have been so busy with university deadlines and revision for the dreaded big exam this monday that time has just flown by, heres hoping the next year and a half does the same and then i will have my RGN :) I have however managed two layouts this month from another great cleocrafts monthly kit. I am very pleased with them, the kits are always so gorgeous :D The layouts are so different it is hard to beleive that they have come from the same kit.

Vintage

I had these photos taken of the kids in december, i have wanted to scrap them since then but i was struggling as vintage really isnt my thing, but here we are, this is what iv managed to do with what i dont really consider as vintage papers, i have to say i am very pleased with them.

Visiting Castles

We recently became members of historic scotland and so every weekend we go and visit some, this weekend we went to castle campbell, stirling castle and doune castle. Jamie really likes visiting them and running up and down the large halls ans corridors. Its nice at his age that he has an interest in these things :)

Monthly kits

For years i bought expensive monthyl kits and often did one or two pages with it and wasted the rest, when i started uni i just couldnt afford these kits anymore so started the hunt for an affordable monthlt kit...............and i found a cracker! Cleocrafts doa monthly kit for less than a tenner and it is just fantastic, i love it :) i have only had one so far but i was very very impressed, it was packed with goodies and had very up to date papers, great for getting my mojo going and for challenging me :) Above is the layout i did with last months kit........still got loads left over aswell :D Must sat the thickers i used didnt come in the kit

Celebrations

Well i have been celebrating since Wednesday when i got an excellent end of year review from uni, i passed all my exams first time and achieved three merits so i am very very pleased :D i have been moved from diploma to degree route to reflect this..............so hip hip horay for me, i couldnt be happier

Cyber Cropping

Well it is the end of the UKS Cyber Crop and what a fantastic time i had, apart from having to work all day yesterday! I really enjoyed all the classes and challenges that i managed to do, so a huge thanks to Scrapbunny for all the hard work :)

I managed 9 Layouts over the weekend so i chuffed if made an indent on my stash and mountain of photos lol my favourite layout from the weekend is above :) Hope you like it as much as i do.

Scrapping photos you dont like

Why do we scrap? to preserve memories right, but what if we hate the only photo we have of that oh so important occasion which holds special sentimental value for us? Well i have this week decided that i really had to scrap that photo i hated as it is a memory that holds a key to my future, so here it is, me in my student Nurse Uniform for the first time in my life, it is only a matter of time before i have my RGN :)

Making up lost time

Las year i really didnt do much scrapping, i maybe did 19 los in the whole year, not alot i hear you say! so i am on a mission to make up lost time and get that big pile of photos from last year scrapped, so far i have done 6 layouts this year, not bad considering it is only the 20th, i have a few weeks off so i am going to make the most of it and do as much as i can :D Attatched is a layout i did last night of my neice and nephew.

I am also taking part in the UKS cybercrop, Shimelles new free class called 'this year' and also a photo a day 2009 although i am going to be doing a day a month not a photo a day, so that day will be the 25th of each month, which has got my mojo going again!

New Year - Overdue update

Well i have been told off numerous times lately for not updating my blog in such a long time so here we go..........i cant think that i have done anything interesting to tell you about though lol had a lovely christmas with my parents, sisters and the children, Jamie really enjoyed it as it was the first time he knew what was going on, he kept telling people that santa said hohoho :). Had a quiet new year, stayed in and drank cocktails with my sister and her friend.

My neice Amanda was one on the 16th of december, i dont know where the year has gone, it is strange seeing her starting to walk etc when it feels like yesterday that she was just a little newborn. My sister was also 21 on the 19th of december. She had a nice time but didnt want a party so we just went for a meal.

Uni is going very well, next thursday is my last day in first year, it has gone so fast i am overwhelmed but i have enjoyed every minute of it, even if i have been up till 3am studying some times :( I am about to finish a 10 week placement on a Rheumaology/Dermatology ward and i have loved it, i could never have imagined learning so much in such a short peroid of time, it has certainly been worth it. Not only for the fact i have found that i have a passion for Dermatology :)

Now i am back to theory at uni it means i have more time to scrap, its taken a sideline whilst i have been studying so i have alot to make up for. I have managed one or two pages which i have attatched photos of.

Well i cant think of much else to say but i promise to keep things up to date from now on!!

My freedom

I recently joined Shimelles new class My Freedom, and so fa have been keeping up well, not like last time lol , i have decorated an 8.5x11 album which i am really really happy with and have done 3 of the layouts so far, i am getting a little behind but i have the weekend including today off so i am going to try and catch up today :D you never know i might even get some of the blog prompts that come with the class prompts done............i can dream at least lol
I have however been really enjoying the class, i love the fact that someone in years to come will be able to look back at the album and see what my life was like now, what was important to me, how i viewed things, travelled, what i wanted out of life etc. Yet another faultless class from shimelle :D
